How To Save Fresh Herbs

How To Save Fresh Parsley
Step one
Well..... you might have fresh parsley always, or buy a big gadget that indoor herb planter with eurogardens or Led systems, but i just stock up in the summer and i will give you my ideas on how i have fresh parsley all year round.

I need parsley in everything!
Really if you do not have it you miss it without  parsley your missing everything in a
recipe some times

I have come up with an idea, mine is to take a large bunch of Parsley and wash then towel air dry them, when ready cut them up in small pieces, cut little pieces of aluminum foil about 5x5 inch or so and place the parsley in the center make little packages and place them in a bag.
That's it, when you need them take a packet added right to the recipes
the last picture shows them in a frozen packet and look at the color just I tried  the ice cube tray but then you need to two step..... once you freeze them in the tray then you need to take them out and place them in a bag and when you need them you are opening and closing that bag that to much ice gets in them the cube is no longer nice looking or flavorful. Fail!

I tried placing them in a small containers but no..... every time you opened them air got in a again freezing the hole container , then you need to bang the container to loosen up the parsley and since the container is plastic it cracks mmmm....... a mess Fail!

I tried the Bag over the glass ........... no comment just every time i got into the fridge that jar would fall and a mess all over then condensation no good in a dark and damp location, always needed to be washed first Fail!

This seams to be a good way so far i love it i make small aluminum packs, take one out they are usually the measurement is enough for my recipe, if not belive me they stay in the fridge for days and are still usable but do not get wilted.
The flavor is  like using chopped fresh parsley.

Step one : Wash and Dry Parsley well
Step two: Chop up your Parsley leaves, get foil ready about a piece square 5x5 inch.
Step three: Place a small amount of Parsley leaves on the foil, make your packet

Step three

This is a frozen packet i opened up great color

P.S.
Do the same procedure on Basil and in the winter that piece of Basil on a Margarita Pizza is the best, just stack the leaves one on top of each other in the packet, they will be a little more wilty but the flavor is good.
(Testing it out on Celery stalk and leaves, sometimes here in Europe in the winter is a little scarce
to testing some packets i will keep you informed.)

Again depending where you live you might have herbs all year, but a small Basil at the store in the winter adds up and...... the ones i got no matter what within a small time they become molded inside especially when you need them.
